are renowned ones in Ladakh. Pangong Lake (140 kms)
from Leh is about 145 kms long and 6-7 kms wide at its
broadest. It is a brackish lake. You can see some snow in
early June while crossing over through Changla Pass
5320m.

Nubra Valley 130 kms. has got spectacular landscape with some famous monastery. Pangong lake is about 145 Kms. Long 6-7 Kms. Wide at it’s broadest, stretches from the north-east of Ladakh across the border into Tibet. The lake has no outlet so the water has high salt and mineral content. Because of this the lake cannot support aquatic life, hence it is distinctive.
